My first experiences in construction started when working with my father. From a young age, I was swinging a hammer on all kinds of projects, from shed building to a full basement renovation in our home in Burford, ON. 

I learned my foundations in carpentry working for Gurr Building Services, working on custom True North Log Homes in Sydenham Ontario. I had the opportunity to work with his team on all aspects of the building process, including excavation, tree felling, log stacking, framing, roofing, doors and windows, bathroom tiling, hardwood flooring, and trim carpentry. 

I moved to Montreal to pursue my Mechanical Engineering degree, and on the side, I worked as the Maintenance Manager at Hotel Ambrose. I troubleshot various repairs and maintenance, and performed major guestroom, bathroom, and Commercial kitchen Renovations. 

From there, I worked with Handyman and Designs, a top-rated Handyman in St. Laurent, Montreal. I worked on an even wider array of projects, and started learning about hiring and business management. I served a wide range of clientele, and earned the company numerous 5-star reviews. 

After this, I went out on my own, as a handyman/renovation contractor, and built an excellent reputation for high quality work, working effectively with real estate agents on Luxury Apartments in downtown Montreal.

It was in Montreal that I met my wife. We soon after got married and welcomed our first little baby. As we both studied side by side, we began dreaming of working together towards a common goal and building a business together. 

I have now completed my Mechanical Engineering Degree, and we have moved back to Brant County, where we have started this company, Mulder Home Services.
